Love the intro, first verse and chorus, but it almost completely loses momentum near the end, despite some nice orchestration. Prince corrrected this problem ten fold in "diamonds and pearls" a similarly concocted commerical ballad that actually has the best bit near the end for me (the "d to the i to the a to the m...." bit).

Still yes, I like it too. I love cheese, and both Prince and Sheena sound good on it, but the ending damnit! And where was the video LOL.

i listened to tmbgitw last night on my headphones, it really is tacky beyond belief, birds singing, clocks ticking, and the worst part is the drip drop after he sings of tears of joy. d+p has always been a pet hate of mine. slow love is a bit dull but i still kinda like it

'Arms of Orion' is okay, but it's way better if you change it to 'Arms of O'Brien'.

I've always loved this song. I prefer Prince's ballads. I honestly prefer Scandalous... but I will say this about The Arms of Orion...

Sheena Easton kicked Prince's ass on the vocals! She sounds much more lovely than he does. Maybe that's what he was going for... a beauty and the beast sort of thing... but she blows Prince AWAY vocally in the song!

This is the only duet... in my opinion... in which Prince's co-singer sounds better than he does.

Sheenas has the voice of an angel in this song......simply beautiful.....
