Ebony 2004 - Prince got what he deserves... In the 2004 Ebony magazine piece "Prince Reclaims His Throne", Prince stated -
"You get the audience you deserve. When I played freaky music, I got freaky audiences."
As I wander, (with great fear and loathing) through the halls of intellectual ruin that is prince.org, it suddenly begins to make sense: Prince must be playing extremely stupid music with occasional hints of brilliance because he has an extremely stupid audience with a few brilliant exceptions.
