Probably too many to make it rare. I suppose it will be one day, give it 20 odd years. wink

exodus did well in the uk...was a top 20 album in the uk and had two top 20 singles so it must have sold near to 100,000 copies so it wont be that rare i would imagine

Chaos may be rare, but it isn't necessarily expensive. I just picked up a used copy at Amoeba in Hollywood for $3.00. It's the same place I got The Gold Experience for $6 and ALMOST got Crystal Ball for $12. I decided I'd come back the next day for that one, and it was gone. Dammit. I run through their bins every couple of weeks but still haven't seen a copy of Rave.

I AM interested in landing a copy of The Chocolate Invasion, too. Big fan of "Underneath the Cream," but all I can find are cruddy digital rips floating around the web.

No idea about the vinyl...sorry, I would hazard a guess in it being rarer than the cd.

Chaos is not rare.

Are you talking about the standard Rave album, or Rave In2?

I sold a copy of ONA piano cd on fleabay for £120 just 3 months ago. I also sold a spare copy of Rave In2.. for £65.

These prices are nothing really check this http://eil.com/shop/morei...gid=204021

eil have had this cd for a very long time.

Esprit are so stupid with their prices, always have been. I used to buy from them in the 90s pre-net when they had big ad's in the back of record collector.

Their stuff is usually mint though, so you are paying for pretty much guaranteed good quality goods. I think the last thing I bought from them was a sealed copy of 'Skin On Skin' about 10 years back, I wanted a pristine copy for ripping. lol

If we ever get any official remasters from Prince, hold on to your original CDs. I expect they will eventually become valuable as people toss them to make room for the remasters (which may just be louder and not any better).

Forgot to mention this earlier, but there are slightly tweaked/improved versions of The Chocolate Invasion/Slaughterhouse/C-Note and all that lot out there.

They are not perfect, but they are improved versions than what NPGMC made available.

I didn't think it was rare, but the earlier discussion in the forum made it seem like it was. And, yes, the standard Rave album. I haven't seen either Rave Un2 or In2 in the Amoeba bins, and they tend to have everything.

And the one to blame for that is Prince, because he decided to badmouth WB in an interview, contrary to an agreement that was made.

Dude, these kind of questions have been around for aeons. (And shit ain't getting more valuable, since the market for Prince stuff bombed a decade ago.)

Try different places, like online, Rave Un2 can be found easily for not much money. Rave In2 can be found with a little searching too.

They're not available legally. The only way to get them is the same way as the flashing yellow banners at the top of the forums page and i'm not allowed to tell you how or where to get them.

See reply #13. wink

And that's the price after a healthy drop too.

A copy of this sold on ebay a couple of months ago, sold for £600+ (if memory serves me correct)

I wonder how many copies do exist?

Nice item.
