No. Prince said what he said in Summer '06. Justin made the comment about Prince in Jan '07 and released the song in April '07.

Still, doesn't mean cause he's a big fan of Prince that he won't say something back.

Prince made the comment way way waaaaay before Justin did that crass height joke with the mic.

And the height joke was after Justin's response to Prince's original comment (if it was even a direct response to it in the first place.)

Prince probably wasn't jabbing Timerlake in a mean way though--he was probably just playing with the crowd and dropped what was an innocent remark. It wasn't like it was a diss.

Ok Prince commented first. He really didn't say anything bad about JT. But was all that necessary what JT or Timbaland wrote? Who also had a few words with @ The Grammy's a few years ago about him dissing Prince. In which he replyed very rudely! never dissed him or said anything about Prince.

By the way am still fans of both of them...
