On Prince: “I look at people like Prince, who, to me, is the greatest musician who has ever lived. He keeps producing, keeps writing, keeps making unbelievable music – all because he’s true to his passion…Everything he says, every note he sings, it’s just like, man, that guy is so far ahead of the rest of us. One of my best experiences onstage was at his house during a party.”

People always give him flack. But Justin is very soulful & has done his research on all the gr8 soul artist. His admiration 4 Prince was obvious on his last album "futuresex lovesounds". The touring band which was virtually every member of Prince Musicology band was a tribute 2 Prince.

Its just when he made that short joke about Prince @ the Golden Globe Awards years ago people thought he was making fun of Prince. He just has a sense of humor unlike most..

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

Uh, Justin has been on the Prince "bandwagon" for a very, very long time. I love seeing one of my favorite musicians giving my favorite musician props.

'Slack?'

confuse

I'm guessing you mean 'flack.' If they were giving him 'slack' that would mean exactly the opposite of the point you're trying to make.

There was Maceo, Rhonda Smith, Candy Dulfer, Renatto Neto.

I believe Prince also played guitar & keys for him.

Yes, virtually all of them were in Timberlake's band.

Prince is so prevelant in JT's music - the falsetto, the lyrics...

If eye wrote u a symphony

Just 2 say how much u mean 2 me.

What would u do?

If eye told u , u were beautiful

Would u date me on the regular?

Tell me, would u?

lol

Anyways, so it's no big surprise to hear that JT is a fam! biggrin

If Prince ever comes out of the closet and makes another movie, I'd love to see him and Justin as love interests in a Purple Rain #3 movie or something. Obviously Justin would be the top, but it would actually have chemistry this time as opposed to the Tom-and-Katie boringness we observed in his previous flicks.

He already did when he appeared on the View. He was to be like Prince when he grows up....play, composing, & producing. Nice the child has great aspirations. Just like Lil' Wayne who want to play Prince in Prince's Life Story.

Always glad to see P getting some respect. Being a father of a 10 year old girl, I was watching an interview with the Jonas Brothers a year or two ago and they were asked if they could play with any one musician living or dead who would it be, and without hesitation they said Prince. I thought it was kind of cool that they showing respect for those who have come before them. Most of their fans probably don't know who Prince is. Thought he might have a good time helping out some young, clean cut, Christian guys who write their own stuff and play some instuments which is what he is always preaching for today's musicians. Anyway, just always glad to see him get his props!!

I think Justin Timberlake is an absolute asshole.

But, I DO agree with him on Prince.

I have seen him clown Prince while accepting at an award show that Prince skipped. He is a punk and always has been. He gets no points for stating the obvious about Prince.

Didn't JT write this about Prince ont he Timbaland album

"Could you speak up and stop mu-mumbling, I don't think you came in clear
When you're sittin' on the top, it's hard to hear you from way up here
I saw you tryin' to act cute on TV, "Just let me clear the air..."
We missed you on the charts last week, damn, that's right you wasn't there
If se-sexy never left, then why's everybody on my shi-it-it
Don't hate on me just because you didn't come up with it
So if you see us in the club, go on and walk the other way
Cause our run will never be over, not at least until we say"

Regarding Princes acceptence speach
