Prince's Gear

I've been listening to the amazing unplugged 6/24/02 Xenophobia show, and it got me wondering what kind of gear Prince likes to play. Does anyone know what kind of acoustic he played that night or on The Truth? What kind of keyboard is built into his purple baby grand?

If I remember correctly, as I was there, the Xenophobia acoustic set was played on his Ibanez George Benson (GB-10?) semi-hollow blonde.

The baby grand used to have a Yamaha KX88, don't know what it is now.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Sweet. Thanks. Must have been an amazing night.

The KX88 is an amazing controller even by today's standards, so that doesn't surprise me. But it has no brain; it's a MIDI controller, so I wonder what it's driving. A wild guess would be a Kurzweil 2600 or something like that.

I guess his Schimmel Pegasus shell also has a midi controller in it and no real grand piano guts.
