prince's involvement on shelia e's self titled album..

i forgot i had this album...shelia e's self titled 3rd album on paisley park...does anyone know if prince wrote or had any involvement in the making of this album ?...cant see his name on the info of the album but we all know that might not mean he wasnt involved...

Prince co-wrote half tge tracks. And played on those as well. As well production and arrangments.

Basically, the 5 tracks in the liner notes credited as "Written by Sheila E" = Prince. All the others are collabs with other people and have no Prince involvement.

I think it's better for it actually, that's 50/50 - as much I adore the preceeding two LPs of course.

Love this album.

Interestingly, I think the three best tracks are non prince:

Wednesday like a river

Hold Me

Faded Photographs

And better than all of them is the Hold Me B-side, "The world is high".

I agree with you. Those 3 songs added a depth that (I don't think) Prince could have delivered at that time. They definitely balanced the project out.

Romeoblu	I love this album. the non Primce tracks are good but would have preferred Paradise Gardens to have made on it onto the album. it's the best none Prince track from these sessions, the world is high is also GREAT.
