SINFUL1 said: Love reading the different taste Prince fams have its very eclectic > Totally! That was my suspicion and my hope in creating the thread. Maybe I'll do a tally once the responses start to slow, to see who the collective top 10 will be. Looks like Beatles and MJ are definitely in there, and maybe (somewhat surprisingly) Dylan. Although I must admit some here have better taste than others IMO! (The majority do seem to have pretty good taste.) "There is two kinds of music, the good, and the bad. I play the good kind."

OK, but seriously, Prince is #1 by a LONG SHOT. It hard to rate the other artists I like past the top 2, non stand out too much. I guess if I base on how much I listen to them, then it would be...
1. Prince 2. MJ 3. Bryan Adams 4. George Strait 5. Whitney 6. Phil Collins 7. BSB Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

It would be safe to say that if you are on a Prince Site; you have your answer. I love music from Bach to Queen, but Prince is and always will be #1. Prince's Sarah

I Prince is far and away No.1.
By any measure Prince dominates my collection, even with 12,500+ total tracks.
I don't collection Prince video though. I can listen to Prince a lot longer than I can look at him. [Edited 6/9/11 20:31pm] I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

I am living proof that it is not "safe to say" that. I love Prince, but he in not my #1. In fact, he doesn't crack my top 7. It seems to be an odd presumption that one only should only go to one fansite or music forum.
Not even sure what "answer" you've referring to. I was asking people what ELSE they listen to.
Lastly, if you go back through the thread, you'll notice there is no shortage of people who DON'T list Prince first. [Edited 6/9/11 23:10pm] "There is two kinds of music, the good, and the bad. I play the good kind."

Hey! If we're adding non-musical artists, I have to work Bill Hicks into my list. In fact, he was a musician as well as a comedian, and I love his music, so, he's on there regardless:
