Yes, it was fun. Though I haven't watched it in a while. Some of his best videos...but, not my favorite era. Just a bit too commercial. Though I do love Cream, Gett Off and Insatiable.

Yeah - used to love it back then. Was always disappointed that the live buts were just snippets...that tour could have done with a DVD of it's own.

The bit at the start of Thunder always bugged me when he seems to miss is cue/come in to early - "Ssss.....Sydney!!!"

From what I remember, it's just not enough.

Videos are fine, Willing & Able was cool, but the other live stuff was kind of lacking, again just based on a foggy memory.

Fopp records where I live were selling sealed copies of this for £3 last year, I bought ten of them over a few days and sold the lot on ebay for £10.99 each.

Nice.

As for the actual dvd? It's ok, nothing special, i'm not interested in Prince's promo vids, I would rather it have been a full gig from the tour.

Nice to have though.

I loved this video when it came out, this was when I first got into Prince. The other video releases at the time were great as well (Gett Off compilation and Sexy MF). As others have said the live clips were good but too short, there was a great clip with him on guitar and Rosie singing Dr Feelgood but it left you wanting to see more.

Great collection, unlike 3 Chains O' Gold where a lot of the videos were edited down. Too bad the live clips weren't longer. There were plans to release a live D&P show from London in the winter of 1992 (if I remember correctly, the shows were taped June 15 and 24). The Dr Feelgood video was shown on BET at the time in its entirety.

I seem to remember there has only ever been a snippet of the Daddy Pop video shown on the Omnibus documentary? I'm sure he was dressed in black and doing the same dance routine (the embarrassing one with Tony and the boyz) he did on the Arsenio Hall show.

Yep that's the one...although I think you've solved the exclusion mystery...who wants that circulating - Paris Hilton, Rob Lowe and Jlo would rather have their special vids doing the rounds than be filmed doing the Daddy Pop puppet dry humping dance

Me too - 90 to 95 was a real showman phase where, in addition to being a kickass musician, he gigs became real events with playfulness and set pieces (humping on a flying bed, splits, cloud guitar, roller-skates, lighting rigs, conveyor belts !!!).

Now it's:

Mic stand - check
Fender strat - check
Bit of a stroll around - check

Symbol

1-800 New Funk

Goldnigga

Exodus

Come

Chaos & Disorder

Gold

The Hits/B sides

Some great maxi singles:

New Power Generation

Cream

Gett Off

7

Space

Beautiful Experience

The Hate Experience

The Good Life

The Purple Medley

Plenty of video compilations in shops and TV specials:

D&P videos

Gett Off videos

Sexy MF promo

3 Chains of Gold

The Hits Videos

The Undertaker

Sacrifice Of Victor

Beautiful Experience

The White Room

The Sunday Show

The Ryde Devine

Not to mention the tours and bootlegs. Those were the days (of wild)

Having said that, with the exception of the gigs at the time, there's something really horrible about the output shortly after Act II - the Undertaker and Sacrifice videos make me feel so uncomfortable that I couldn't watch them at the time and still can't ...plus the hair a facial fuzz made him look like the lovechild of Sherlock Holmes and a mushroom
