De Angela - I LOVE your "chattering." It's so cute. I like your voice, I love to hear what you played, man I'd never heard "God is Alive" it's awesome so I'm glad you told me what it was. Also everything you play off Paisley Park makes me so wistful. I guess I liked that album and have good memories from that time. Can U IMAGINE if Scarlet was playing!!!!???? OMG!!! hahaha Ok, I guess I'll have to pry myself off the Birthday Mix and go to the Lust mix cause it's sounds like it's gonna be hella nice. Thank you. I know I said it's making the withdrawal easier but I actually think it's feeding the new obsession. I mean I've been a fan since '84-'85 but this feels worse than back in the day. I can't stop listening to your mix and watching videos and trolling Prince.org. BUT I LOVE YOUR MIX! I'll let you know after I listen to the LUST mix. THANK YOU! antoinet

Ok, De Angela I know I'm being a DORK but I can't help it. I finally listened to the last song in your Birthday mix this morning getting ready and it is the BEST version of 4Ever in my Life. I LOVE IT! I heard you say he didn't do a US SOTT Tour but I know I heard that song live with same vibe of the version you played, kinda hippie-ish, very soulful and it took me back to that time when I heard it live. BEAUTIFUL. Great way to end a great mix! Ok I'll stop gushing on you but girl you rock and I'll be listening to your mixes looking forward to next year!!! Just started the LUST Mix yesterday but didn't get very far. I'll let you know when I'm done. Your birthday mix is playing at my work, in my car, on my phone, at my home. It is the new background soundtrack to MY LIFE!!!! THANK YOU!

Hi De Angela:
I finally listened to the Lust Mix yesterday. A-MAZING mix. The flow was nice, very fluid transitions. I missed the last 2 songs (clicked out by mistake doh!) so I have to listen again. I've only listened once and you know how you have to listen a few times to really get the flavor.
I was def bobbing my head and feeling the groove. All of it was good. Some highlights for me tho: - The Sexy Dancer Mix with 7 Hurtz w/ Peaches & Bitch Lap Lap - I loved the girlz dialogue - fun! - Erotic City Instrumental - fun to hear it that way - Turned on to you - Never heard it, great jam, kinda reminiscent of Teena Marie/Vanity 6/80's music - Tupac - Love me some Tupac, especially "How do U want it?" - Devastate - Never heard, really like - Ooops (oh my) - Loved that song from the first note the first time I saw the video. I thought Tweet was gonna blow up, don't know why she didn't. - So Good & Shoo B Doop & Cop Him - Great grooves - Crown Royal - Jill Scott - I DIDN'T KNOW JILL GOT DOWN LIKE THAT - Niiiiice! Like it!
So that mix is excellent - you should be proud of that baby.
BUT - I'm back on the BDay mix again today. This one's got my heart. I think because it's mostly all Prince and most of all I think it's a nostalgic trip for me. All those songs bring back memories of when I got the vinyls or just memories of where I was or what I was doing.
So thank you for all your mixes. I'm listening to bits and pieces of all of them. You are very talented and I'm ecstatic to have them to listen to. I've been playing them for friends and family. We're leaving for San Diego Saturday and your mixes will be playing all the way down! djpolishedsolid ROCKS! No Turn Unstoned.
