I believe it was 1994 when they had the Celebrate Soul of America Awards and Patti LaBelle and Arsenio Hall presented with a special award. But there was a tribute first with dancers and a medley of Prince / songs before he came up and gave his speech. The medley's songs were a little chopped up / edited in my opinion, but it was a nice tribute nonetheless. U could see 's head slowly bobbing up and down during "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World." He looked genuinely touched.

Just found these guys. Would be fun to see them perform one time

A friend of mine made a Prince tape 4 me about 15 years ago, and this was one of the clips on it. I honestly don't know where he got the footage from. Sorry.

I saw Purple Reign in Las Vegas for my Birthday in 2010...I had soooo much fun. He was sooo good!!! I will be seeing him again next time I go to Vegas!

This is the best tribute to Prince. I hated the 2010 BET. I think it was shoddy/tacky and felt like it was an after thought.
