When We're Dancing Close & Slow

I always used to skip this track, but recently I've been listening to Prince's lascivious ballads, and I absolutely love this song.

So seductive, and slow. smile

I can't stand it, and I don't think I'll ever grow to like it. That may be one of the two or three Prince songs that I've had that reaction to.

I would be floored if Prince played this song live.

Moonbeam

This was Prince's first great ballad. It is unbelievably vulnerable and precious. I adore it for its youth and its poignance.

Ilove the guitar at the ending...I agree with you, Moonbeam. A beautiful ballad for a young Prince. It's a good song to slow drag to nod

it truly Bores me as well it's like His Joni Mitchell Attempt when He says that She Inspired Him but this Song seems like it's running out of Gas before it even starts IMHO.

loved this song from the first listen. guitar at the end was very, very cool, too. i'd luv to hear this live -- do a full band version with a video montage of all females in his videos from apples to diamonds, or something like dat.

I absolutely love this song. Incredibly sexy. Perfect heart 'in music... smile

It also holds special memories for me because my first boyfriend made me a tape of love songs once and of course this song was included (we were both huge Prince fans.) so it makes me recall that special experience of first love.

And I agree with the others before me on this thread who said they wish he'd do this one live. I'd melt, for sure.
