(Dumb) Question about "Pop Life"

Is it me or does the "la, la, la" bridge/chorus part of Pop Life that's sung by female backup singers sound like "London Bridges Falling Down"? Sorry for the dumb question, LOL just curious. Note, I can't remember if it's the extended version of Pop Life or radio edit that has this part in it.

Yes. And Prince was big on nursery rhymes being the basis for some songs, the one I can think of right now other than Pop Life is 17 Days using the "its raining its pouring, the old man is snoring" steez.

no surprise since that mess of a remix was done by sheila...

on a different note: I always loved the reference to sugar walls in the Hot Thing extended version.

It's one thing when you bash Obama over in P&R, but I will not stand idly by while you bash Sheila. Especially not when you're talking about either one of the nothing-short-of-awesome Pop Life remixes.

Although I wonder if Sheila really did remix it or if that was just another one of those fake credits Prince liked to give in the '80s.

Slight non-sequitir: I heard the sample of the crowd in another song recently, sorry but I do not remember what song or artist. It was a longer sample of that crowd, so it wasn't sourced from "Pop Life".

I'm just saying...
