With all the talk about writing/studio rehab and Prince obviously touring Europe during its highlight of the summer - all the music and jazz festivals - do you think he will be going to concerts and catch some inspiration? And if so, who would you suggest he and the band go see (not jam with)?

I recommend these guys:

- Joe Lovano: I believe he was on stage with Esperanza during the LA concerts. But definitely wort checking out on his own. North Sea Jazz Festival, Rotterdam, July 8.

- Tom Harrell Quintet: Most amazing trumpet player out there today. Playing at the North Sea Jazz Festival, Rotterdam, July 10.

- Raoul Midón & Richard Bona: Beautiful duo and Raoul is a fantastic singer with a crazy ability of sounding like a trumpet! Playing at the North Sea Jazz Festival, Rotterdam, July 10.

- Robyn: Contemporary, yet on the edge of a future sound. An interesting Swedish sound of today. Way Out West Festival, Gothenburg, August 11-13.

Now, if Prince also chose to visit the jazz festivals in Gent (July 7-17) or Copenhagen (July 1-10) he would have the chance to witness the legendary Sonny Rollins!!! If that doesn't shake his purple soul...!?
