Prince and concerts question Can someone please explain to me how it works when Prince gets to play on different festivals and places around the world. I mean, is it him (or his staff, of course) that connects with the arranger for a certain festival and tell them that he wants to play there, or do they connect with him? Or is it maybe both ways? To me it seems as if it's Prince that decides where he wants to play...but in general, how does it usually work? If someone knows...

I imagine they approach his people then his people wait for the 3rd moon of Uranus to align with Orions left testicular before they get an answer and then they confirm....and the Prince doesn't turn up

Their people call his people. When or if the message gets to Prince, and the pay is right he will let them know. I have a feeling that now a days they are told up front that prince may or may not show up! "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

They should state that at posters and adds for tickets sales. And print it on the ticket:
"Possibly might turn up, possibly not" 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

if a producer of these events wants prince to play a certain festival or concert, they have a assistant call one of his agents and make an offer and wait for a response from prince and his rep.
