Do you prefer Prince's long hair from the Prince era ('79) or from the Batman-GB era ('89-'90)?

I think Prince should go back to the fro from '78 and ditch the make-up and tired suits.

his hair was fly during the GB era....perfected locks.

The Afro from the late 70s looks good but Afros are out and it would only age him. Never liked that girly ass do from IWBYL. I mean it was alright but it didn't make him sexy IMO.

^ His perm was not quite right during the Prince '79 period. But his perm during the late '80s = PERFECT!

I love his hair from the Prince album, he wore it similar during the Lovesexy years (which of course was similar to the Batman years) Those 2 eras are sorta meshed

But the Dirty Mind look was supposed to be raw

i loved his hair during the GB era. thats my favorite look of his.

i think his hair was pretty long around 2000 too.. but it wasnt styled the same. it looked alright though. i never liked his afro lol

Btw, I remember when he first came out that his hair was lighter almost brown and as we can see it progressed to black. lol.

He looked the best with long hair during the Rave era. Well, if you're able to overlook some of the outfits.

He looks good with long hair in photos, but I think it really makes him look short (onstage and otherwise). Not sure if the short hair always works with his features though (especially the cut he got during the TRC / ONA era just made him look older).

Well he did have seriously long hair during Purple Rain, it was just more curled

And his hair was long 4 Lovesexy as well

But I do love the Phase 1 because it was 'homemade' lol It was Prince doing his thing naturally vs the GB/Diamonds & Pearls hair that to me was seriously way to HOllywood, just to 'done'

Because of his long face long hair looks really good on him. I don't remember long hair looking so good on a man before.

He needs to bring back the Jheri curl. I don't think I've seen once since Eazy died.

Love the long hair on P. The fluffy Farrah flip he sported during the Prince-era was fly, and so was the jet black shoulder-length GB-era style. In fact, looking at these pics, that mutha's making me want to go out and get my 'fro permed .
