I believe those are from a fan-made compilation of actual Linn drum machine samples that were being sold on eBay for a while. They weren't sourced from Prince, but did come out of a real LM-1.

Maybe not, but I don't mind having them. I consider it a completist bonus to this great set.

On the subject of Prince's cancelled 7-Disc Sample Series, there is also a supposed collection of outtakes from that project, but it's in fact entirely fan-made using bits culled from various released and unreleased P songs.

Yes they are, they can be found on disc 24 Vol 6.

Really? wow! I used to have 'em (and erased them at some point) and I was so sure they were authentic

The samples that were put up on Prince's site were so good! Like the layer from Erotic City.

I wish this would have really been put together and leaked.
