I can't be the only one that LOVES this amazing B-Side right? I never hear it mentioned. I just found out from princevault.com that this dreamy song was actually recorded in 1982?? Really? Lol I didn't know that. It is seriously one of my fav songs ever, the long extended version is best .

I adore it. I still remember when it came out as a b-side. I didn't stop to listen to it for weeks. I love the way He sings and the noises at the end of the long version. The music hypnotizes me. I think is one of his best songs.

Great song. I remember back in the days, before CD's and well before CDR's, I recorded this song on a 60 minute tape. Clocking in at 7:30something, I could record it 4 times on each side. So when I played it in a cassette deck in my car or at home, it was like having it on repeat. I think I still have the tape lol.

I don't know why everytime I hear this part I imagine Prince holding a flower to a girl and saying that,.. "make a wish baby". I wonder who this GIRL is? Lol.

I love this song. I love the hypnotic beat and bassline, and the lack of snare. Most of all I love the high notes he starts at 3:16.

It's a great song, both in short and long version.

Excellent song, it is a grower rather than one I liked instantly....but I totally fell in love with the Extended version, that is one of Prince's masterworks!

Fabulous and sexy intimate song. it! Its a fun and playful song as well. Very flirty. You can imagine him singing it over the phone late at night or whispering it in your ear while strolling through the park on a mid-summer day. Hmmmm sexy mofo he is.

Wow. I am always amazed at the cross section of taste in this group. I think of this song as a gigantic throw away. It is something he could do in his sleep and I was really surprised that it was pulled out of the vault for that release. It just seemed so unsophisticated and showed it's age by the time it was released. It really is one of the few missteps that I think he had during that time, but it's cool that others like it. Just never dug it myself.

Funny, for being so old, I don't remember it sounding dated... except for how sparse it seemed. It just sounded like not much effort went into it when it was brought back out for the quick mix it got.

Hmm, I haven't heard that track in a while, maybe 20 years. I have the extended version on vinyl - but I don't have anything to play it on. LOL That was the b-side to America, if I remember correctly. I wasn't a big fan of it back in '85 when I got it, but I could be persuaded to give it another listen. My ears are a little more sophisticated now.
