Name this Prince Song? I've had an MP3 of this one Prince song for a while and I'm pretty sure it is called "Stone". I'm nearly certain it is a bootleg but it might not be. I was just wondering around what time this song was written, recorded, what album it was intended for, etc. Again, I don't want to get in trouble, I'm just curious about this really good song. It sounds like a very timeless pop rock song and could have been done in any Prince area. Thanks in advance.

Heart of Stone is the only song I can think it may be. Its on the Work, volume 5. Kind of mellow pop song like. No?

Indeed it sounds like you are talking about the song called "Heart of Stone". Maybe if you told us some lyrics it might be easier to help out, though.

Must be "Heart of Stone" since it's always being called
simply "Stone". It was recorded around 1993/1994 if I'm not mistaken. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Here are some of the lyrics:
Used to the best to me you were the only one I watched walk your life While all I did was run You put me on a throne And left me all alone Watch me turn to stone I'm thinking it might also be called "Heart Of Stone". Thanks everybody. I'm not much on bootlegs (ok, I don't have any) but this song should have not only been on an album but could have been a hit single. Thanks again everyone.
