MACEO PLAYED A PRINCE SONG IN LONDON 26/2/03 JUST GOT BACK FROM THE MACEO PARKER CONCERT FROM THE BARBICAN IN LONDON, UK.
HE STARTED PLAYING AT 7.30PM AND FINISHED AT 10.45PM... THATS OVER 3 HOURS OF FUNK!!! HE THANKED PRINCE HALF WAY THROUGH THE SHOW AND PLAYED A PRINCE COMPOSITION CALLED 'BABY KNOWS', WHICH INCIDENTLY WAS PROBABLY THE BEST SONG OF THE NIGHT! NOT PURE JAZZ BUT GOOD FUNK NONETHELESS! although maceo was good, i think he paled better during the oNA concerts when prince was bandleader...
makes you realise how much tighter the prince band was. Although nothing can ever match prince anyway! | |

GOOD??? what an understatement... check the reviews on associated band members group, were we at the same show??? and why make the comparison?
