I could be mistaken but I believe that he delivered both albums simultaneously. Also, since Chaos and Disorder was largely a contractural obligation album and not an album that Prince intended to release you could argue that it is just as much a compilation album as The Vault: Old Friends 4 Sale was. True, the first being FAR superior, actually a pretty decent record while The Vault was just rubbish
