I guess Prince will not be on Oprah anymore.

I'm a bit shocked that P only was on Oprah once--all the way in 1996. Either he and O had a falling out or P didn't like the reaction to his interview, especially the part about the baby and the inner child P has in him.

That interview must haunt him. Too bad.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

You could say the same about Mel B, but we all know the reason she never interviewed him again is that she used up all the words she knew the first time around.

'I think you're lovely'. *cringe*

They were? Never heard that before, is there any source?

Like I said in the other thread about Oprah, I doubt Prince wants to dwell too long on her because it would open up a can of worms. Although Prince might be dismissive of the past, maybe this is one instance where it's the right thing?

That entire show creeped me out.

The musical performances were meh...though I did like his rendition of "If I was Ur girlfriend."

But the strange shifty eye contact that he and Mayte had with each other just felt creepy. The entire thing felt off. And not just the part with the child's death--that's really Prince's business anyways, and Oprah shouldn't have even went there.

But the whole part where Mayte said that she never called him Prince, etc....it just felt rehearsed and a strange bit creepy.

He looked at Oprah and pulled the entire "Symbol came to me in a dream" and that he felt truly "divorced from Prince" part was just wierd. She even asked, "you reeaaaalllly think that?", which he replied yes.

I would love to see Oprah do a followup like she did with that author of A Million little pieces. but with Prince. lol

Personally, I don't really enjoy seeing Prince talk about things that don't relate to his career. Too much like a trainwreck and often really uncomfortable/jarring.

Oprah is a sweetheart and champion of the poor. Really hope Prince's

friendship with her is intact. I'm sure it is. But, Oprah has done a few

really intrusive shows, foremost the Michael Jackson interview which

was horrible. Then she interviews Katherine and MJJ's kids. Hated that

and was mad as hell with her for it. The Prince show was nuts and

she probably realized what a train disaster it was. Prince should have

been left alone by all media during those sensitive few months.

Jump to 21st century-Prince is doing fantatastic and strong as ever.cool

Prince isn't the interviewing type and Oprah is ALL about the interview and getting in people's business and talking about their feelings and shit. Prince doesn't roll like that.

Yup, had to have been one of those two. No other possibilities.

With the exception of this surprise finale, Oprah has to be interested in her guests before they get on her show. Maybe she never invited him for another interview, knowing it would be totally pointless.

Prince should never have interviewed with Oprah on her show. Just like Michael Jackson and her back stab to him afterwards, she never deserved interviewing prince or MJ. Just another Merchant of Chaos. Just another user. Just another blood sucka. Prince was the smart one in not doing interviews period for the most part. That was the reason he only did one interview with Oprah all these years. He just didn't do interviews period. Come to think of it, the only good interview he really did do was in my opinion with Tavis Smiley. I think he has done a few with him that have the best I've seen.

But he has opened up alot more with age. I think he is more confident with it as time as gone by.

Confident and wiser. But its a fine line with the tabloid media. You really gotta watch your back.

He has to be careful who he chooses to do interviews with cause there is alot of media shit holes out there. Yep Tavis Smiley has shown some of the best respectful interviews with him as far as I can tell or from the ones I've seen. But Oprah is a fake merchant of chaos and I dont trust her at all.

I would warn Prince to ever come near her. I dont like the guy that has interviewed Madonna few times Matt Lauer. He is a scumbag interviewer. I would stay away from him too. Larry King would have been an interesting interview with Prince though, but definately not the new guy pierce something. I wish Prince had his own website again to defend himself like when he had npgmusicclub.com. That was he would not have to do interviews at all. Not that he does anyway.

If we could have combined the faults and favors that both Prince and MJ had they could have been perfect. Prince No Trust at all. MJ too much trust for sure.

He did an interview with Larry King. It was around the time of Rave, I think. I don't remember anything remarkable about it, though.

I know, I give her kudos for that. If more people had her work ethic, there would be a lot less people sitting around all day on the computer...oops! My face is red~ LOL
