I disagree. I think it acts as a perfect bridge from "Express Yourself" into "Til Death Do Us Part". It fits the theme of distressed relationships perfectly. The woman in "Express Yourself" is the survivor from "Til Death Do Us Part" with "Love Song" acting as a leech to remove the romance aspect of "Express Yourself" ('this is not a love song that I want to sing') before heading into a story about why the relationship broke up ('he's not in love with her anymore').

I actually quite like it. It's low-key, understated, and charming in that sense.

agree with you. it's boring and never gets going. at the time it felt more like a marketing ploy than a natural meeting of kindred spirits.

I like it It's got a dark,moody sound.Their voices sound good together and the lyrics are great.My favorite part is the end,when Madonna sounds pissed off as she sings..

He's not on the LP version, only on some of the 12" mixes.

I have the Remixed Prayers cd single, is he on that?

Yes, He plays a guitar solo on the second half of (12" Extended Remix).

and damn near everything on (12" Club Version)... and of course (7" Remix/Edit) is a shorter version of that. On the ALBUM, the track "Act of Contrition" is made up of backwards parts of this mix.

He is not on (12" Dance Mix). If you can find a rare promo copy, you can hear even more of his work on this session on "Dub Beats" and "Bass Dub"
