If there is a music question at work some will say don't ask Jazzy because all he knows is Prince (which isn't true)
and then I will answer the question, and by doing that I can say thats why I like Prince so much because I listen to all music and I know his is the best. sometimes they will make fun of his size and say a girl can whip him, and then they will say he hasn't made music in the last 10 years and what ever happened to him, and then someone will tell everybody what happened to him (and they don't have a clue)
After all is said I will correct them all, they argue at first and then I clear that up and let them hear some new stuff done from 2002 and they look like an idiot, and will ask if I can make them a copy. I showed a documentary to my pupils to educate their musical taste (anti boys band I am) a colleague of mine watched it and she was quite shocked to see P masturbating his guitar in the Dirty Mind tour as well as singin Head... The pupils said "He's a fag" they were not even stirred by the guitar works and all that... Well you know how many epople now got stirred by those "old school" myths?

I'm just a firm believer in the fact that if you hit them up with the right Prince song(s) they will be jammin', groovin', and liking it. And everybody is different in their musical tastes. With Prince he has songs that touch on just about every flavor, so there's something in there for everyone. It's finding that song or two or three to bop 'em upside the head with when they're minds are closed and they are going only on assumptions.
Then I sit back, tell them it's Prince, and think, 'Uh-huh, talk all you want to. You like it and you know it."
I don't care what they've heard about Prince, they just need to shut up and LISTEN.
When people have come to prince.org and asked, What should I play for this person or that person? the answer is always going to be different. You know the person and what they may like musically, so tailor it to that.

I don't consider myself no "fam"...whatever that is. I just like Prince's music.
