Livesexy Was this tour ever offcially released? I heard that there was a laserdisc version once called 'Livesexy' but haven't seen it on video. If the unreleased sound recording of Dortmund 88 is anything to go by it must be amazing to see! [Edited 5/6/11 9:28am] |

the concert was released in the UK on PAL VHS. It was released in 2 parts. The first part was the 2nd half of the show and the 2nd tape was the 1st half.
I am not sure about laserdisk. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

There are a couple of bootleg laserdisc rips of the Lovesexy live show.
It was released officially on VHS and Laserdisc.
The bootleg laserdisc releases are by Global Funk School and Excalibur, the Excalibur release is spread over two discs.
Fullasoul also have a great release of the Lovesexy show, though it is not sourced from Laserdisc.

Thanks for the info.
I'd love Prince to re-release all the old films on DVD esp. Three Chains O Gold, nicely shot. |

I really liked 3 chains o gold, but weirdly it was released about 2 years after the Symbol album. Basically its just a collection of music videos for the Symbol album interpersed with a story about Mayte and has some shots from Egypt. The video for Sweet Baby is especially nicely done...Prince is on a merry go round (also liked vids for Damn U and Morning Papers). 7 is also impressive, a lot of money seemed to be spent on the whole project. |

Yeah, I have the VHS, I meant I had never seen a version on a bootleg dvd.
Not saying one does not exist though, I don't know much about the dvd side of things.

I just recorded it to dvd. (I have the VHS version.) Looks fine. 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |
