Did It!!! Dont know what the hold up has been; He should have had a STAR long time ago! I saw something on here a few years ago, I guess nothing came of it. Maybe this time something will happen! Way to go lPoeticl!

The fact that the money goes to charity if he won't take the star is one reason why your plan would never work, even if he wanted to do it. That is assuming your plan is to honor Prince in some way. Your plan actually may succeed in embarrassing him, if that is your goal.

All I keep hearing is he doesn't want it. Yet no one "really" knows what Prince wants. We're just asking. We're not harming anyone or bothering anyone. We're just giving it a try. If nothing comes of it, ok cool. At least we can say we tried it.

Well from all I read here it seems to be very clear he does not want it, but you just close your eyes from the truth and don't want to see that. How can you be so naive to think he would not have one by now if he wanted one? I wonder what your real intentions are.

Lots of ppl don't have stars and have been doing thier thing for years. I don't believe everything someone tells me. Credible or not. Our intentions were already made clear. Good day.

If you succeed in getting a bunch of people to sign this, and raising whatever money you are trying to raise, Prince will have two choices: (1) accept the star, in which case he is depriving the charity of whatever money they will get if he declines, or (2) turn the star down, in which case he will get criticized for ignoring his fans and acting like he's too good for this sort of thing. I just don't see the point of this unless you just want to embarrass Prince. If you want to start a petition to Prince, how about starting one to get him to release the remasters that many of us want (and are willing to pay for)?

Personally speaking I don't think / believe / feel a star on the Walk of Fame means anything to anyone. I know there's some form of recognition but, again, P is past that (or at least I think so). Not thinking for my man, I would never do that but, he may think it's some form of Idolotry and why he wouldn't wanna have anything to do with it.

I still signed the petition though ...
