Update: Short Version: We've discontinued our petition.

Long Version:

Hello everyone, just an update; we are no longer going to actively pursue the petition for a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. After hearing the pros and cons of this matter we have decided to discontinue. You all are very important and have value to the success of these fan sites and have such high level and importance to the success and well being of our favorite artist.

Thank you for your support as well as your understanding of our decision.

How will you contact Prince if you gather enough signatures?

Sidebar: I am fully aware that he "may not" want a star, or he "might not" even show up to the ceremony and if that's the case, I guess we will find out. I haven't seen anything from anyone who's attempted to do this in the past, nor have I seen any interviews where he stated he didn't want one. So if you are coming here to post that, make sure you have some info to back that up. Thanks.

Thx 4 taking the time 2 do this. But heard it was attempted right b4 he changed his name 2 the unpronounceable symbol. Therefore was refused by Prince afterwards. It would have been cool if The "star" could have been a symbol. Still could b. But doubt he will show up or want it, since he doesn't believe in idol worship...

I signed it what the heck..I know he doesn't want it but we do...LOL

I figured we'd get a story writen about it, make web videos on youtube and keep passing the word.

We know this. But you never know with Prince. He might be ok with it. He's Prince again... so.

Unfortunately, doing this isn't going to help you to ever actually meet Prince.

Poetic, maybe you're not aware of who jseven is and why what he says about where Prince stands on the issue is credible. You should listen to him.
