Prince guitar from the infamous Super Bowl 41 performance It is beautiful. I have stood 2 feet from his guitar rack during a concert and watching his tech hand them to him onstage. I have seen the yellow cloud at the Smithsonian. None looked som magical on display as the purple symbol guitar. It was displayed with one od Stevie Wonder's harmonica's in Tavis Smiley's American I Am black history exhibit (yeah, for those who have forgotten or just don't want to face it - Prince is black).

So this is to tell us that his purple symbol guitar looks magic and to remind us that Prince is black.

NO - but take from it what you want - or be sarcastic if that is what you are attempting to do.

Infamous, I suppose, due to the ridiculous sexual innuendo that some of the less informed wanted to attach to the performance. I personally saw it as one of the most defining victories of Prince's career. Actual rain while an icon performend his most iconic song - it was undeniable and magic. And, yes, that guitar looks magical on that exhibit.

That's unfair...I would never have known Prince was purple and had a black guitar. I'm not quite sure whether this post is to confess a deep love for this particular guitar.....or whether it's just a crafty way of shoehorning the fact that theyve been stood close to a guitar and therefore, by default, Prince. Still no idea why it's an infamous guitar..but if anybody has seen Prince's dastardly piano or his facetious drumstick then let me know . [Edited 4/28/11 6:15am]

mmmm.....Actually his skin is nowhere near dark enough to be black. Maybe more yellow I'm thinking.
