According to P's people the property is not going to be foreclosed on

The Minnesota Landowner Formerly and Currently Known as Prince is singing the same tune as millions of American homeowners: The Foreclosure Blues, according to reports out of the Twin Cities.

A May 13 sheriff's auction is set in Carver County for a 20-acre spread that used ...ian's home, the Star Tribune says. He is delinquent $368,382 on the mortgage. Records show the Chanhassen property, which he bought for $605,000 in 1994, is valued at $1.15 million. He razed the house in late 2005; a tennis court and gatehouse are all that remain.

But a representative told the paper Prince paid Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co. "about four or five days ago." No word yet from the bank.

A local law firm told the Chanhassen Villager there is "a decent likelihood" th...e instated before the sheriff's sale.

A year ago Prince paid $1.3 million in current and delinquent property taxes on 14 parcels. Chanhassen has been the star's home since 1980

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
