Whatever he means with all those covers, I think it's pretty clear that Prince respected MJ a great deal. And yes, covering songs of his could be seen as paying homage. That's basically what you do when you cover a song.

He's been playing 'Don't Stop Til You Get Enough' since 2006, before MJ's tragic death. He played it a few times while supporting and touring with Tamar. 'Shake Your Body' was added after MJ's passing. Either way, I think it's pretty cool.

Ha! Folks listing the limited ability of Elvis to write songs and play instruments, yet he still makes how much a year after being dead for so long?? I liked all the superstars listed, and obviously millions of other people.

That's what my dad always called him. And I believe Michael Jackson's "King of Pop" is in reference to Elvis as The King, which is why Michael's King was qualified with the "of Pop".
