Any songs that piss you off?

Just wanted to know if there are any songs that piss you off immensely when you listen to them?

I specifically hate Rasperry Beret and 1999, and can't seem to like Gold and Holy River..and 7!!!

Plenty...

Mainly the 'poor old me' songs about slavery, the overt 'you MUST believe in what I believe' songs, the waste of space songs (Had U, Orgasm etc) and the 'you'll buy anything won't you so I'm not bothering' tracks....oh and the desperate lunge but missing by a mile attempts at social commentary (Act of God).

But if I had to pinpoint something then maybe The Cross....it is to Sign of the Times what somebody ruining a fun night out is (for me)....Annie Cristian, Tamborine, I Wanna Melt with U....all fit that criteria

Yeah, I forgot about 'I wanna melt with you", but this not as worst as rasperry berret, which is the worst song of all time in my opinion. I hate it when he tries to become spiritual. I am not capable to listen to this nonsense. I believe some fans love his spiritual side, and listen to those horrible songs with a scented candles lol

I can see the divison i guess, which was the whole point of the thread. I know some are into that spirituality thing, some into pussy issues and others believe Prince does rock - STRANGE BUT TRUE...oh how much i love that one..

They definitely cause the what could LEAD to a headache, sure, but I try not to indulge them beyond 30 seconds. Truthfully, I have never listened to songs like "Walk In Sand" or "Sea of Everything" all the way through because they bore me immensely. Along the same lines, songs where I find him to be even the slightest annoying to me don't even get the chance to give me more than a throbbing vein in my eyeball before I hit skip, lol.

Interesting...I think I have listened to Rasperry Beret only once...i know it is odd...but this song juxtaposes something that doesn't fit to my life standards...and 1999 is possibly the most overrated song ever..I usually prefer his funky jokes songs..Style, Cloreen, My Name is Prince, Sexy MF..surely..he has too many..i am glad his symbolism in his songs ended too. Do you agree?

grafitti bridge (wtf was he thinking?)

thunder (along with alot of other d&p tracks)

Symbolism? I dunno, I kind of think Prince's symbolism is either really silly ("Elephants and Flowers") or really clever ("Sexuality"). I think symbolism kind of is what attracted most people to Prince actually. His more recent examples of symbolism, though, have not been quite as clever.

The most cleverly written song utilizing symbolism in recent memory, IMO, is "Muse 2 the Pharaoh"... But that was 10 years ago. And hey, I'm a huge fan of the LotusFlower disc which is like a trip through symbolism utopia.

Alguy	Anything post-Gold Experience is so hit-or-miss that it's not worht bringing up. With that in mind, Cream can go die in a fire. That song makes my skin crawl, it's like having someone with a really irritating accent whispering in your ear.

Is it that u don't like the song, or is it that u are tired of hearing it? I know that I don't listen to it because it's overplayed, but on the off chance I hear it, I have to admit that it is a great song.
