This was my very first Prince album way back in the summer of 1996. I loved it then and I love it now. I never understood the hatred that this album gets. The first side is the best rock music that Prince ever recorded. I would have loved a whole album like this. I don't enjoy the second side quite as much but there are still some gems there.

Yeah this album is pretty good. But I've never really liked "I Rock, Therefore I Am". "Dig U Better Dead" is bearable but I feel like it could have been better. The title track, "I Like it There" and "The Same December" are pretty tight. "Zannalee" and "Into The Light/I Will" are good in different ways, and for the most part I can stomach "Right the Wrong" it has a quality where it kinda gets stuck in my head (whether that's good or bad). Not sure how I feel about "Had U", and "Dinner with Delores" changes a lot for me, sometimes I like it, other times I think it's boring. All in all I enjoy this album.

There are two or three outtakes that are good too, a little less polished.

i love it, one of the very 1st prince albums i heard.. i remember when i first got in2 prince, after the 21 london shows there was a website where he would release free mp3's.. chaos & disorder was one of them, i think it was a live recording.

anyway i thought it was amazing track, i had to hear the album. it is chaotic! he sounds all lonely & angry

whenever i listen, it makes me feel all wonderous & fuzzy like i did when i first discovered him

Gotta go on the record and say that I like this album, too. Except for the rappers... especially the 'show me your titties' guy. I will always complain about him when given the opportunity.

Generally I am not a fan of Prince and rap but I will gladly take Scrap D and Steppa Ranks over Tony M.

I like scrap d...the guy can rap...i think he sounds well funky!!

I can't say Chaos And Disorder is a great cd, but it rocks.

One of my first Prince CDs (if not the first). I totally love it.

My fav from this album is Zannalee, but Had U is great too

It's a good album and I think I Like It There and The Same December are two of his best rock songs ever.

I'll take the loose pebbles and not the rock on this album. i.e. Track 3,5,8,9,10 & 11.

They are not radically different, just more raw, less produced, no sirens on them and shit.

Dinner with Delores and the title track are my jams.

ive got alot of love 4 in2 the light\I will but like eye said the whole cd rocks!!

I didn't like the album when it came out.

Now, the years have passed and given the terrible music Prince released since I like it a lot.
