Exactly. And I think when he is in that mentality, no collaborator is going to get their fair crack at bat, so to speak. Kind of like during the making of Rave Un2. All those collabos with really talented, diverse, and gifted people yet none of them were even remotely up to par or used to the best of their abilities. A single verse for Chuck D, one of the progenitors of hip hop? Okay. Ani Difranco relegated to simply guitar, and not even any vocals?? Sheryl Crow armed with a vocoder and only doing vocal embellishments overtop Prince?? How cheap.

Now Prince and the Cataracs...and Dev...THAT would be hot. "Bass Down Low" could be imagined to be straight out of some Prince playbook. It's like Tick Tick Bang, Love Machine, and some weird-ass unreleased demo from the Vault, all smashed into one.
