She lives in L.A. and since he is bringing back alot of his old acquaintances, who better than the woman who inspired his 90's output and was truly his last great love. You know they're divorced, right? And that making judgements about who qualifies as the "last true love" of someone you've never met is pretty weird, right?

Hi, thanks for responding to my post and my questions. I appreciate it.

Speaking for myself, I love watching Mayte dance so I'm definitely for any opportunity to shine that she gets...and so if performing with Prince during this leg of the tour is something both he and she would want to do, I hope it will work out.

Yeah she was apreciated, shes a great dancer and seems like a sweet lady and you can see the intense love Prince had for Mayte, but maybe Prince has moved on? Who wants to get back involved with their ex spouses? Not many imo

Thank You Spinlight....exactly....also explain Elisa...you know they dated for a while....its not about anybody trying to go back to anybody. Mayte and Prince are still on good terms, there was never any animosity between them after the divorce and she never went and trashed or badmouthed him. She was very classy about the divorce and kept things to herself. Prince even invited her to a show in Vegas a couple of years back and walked over to her and gave her a hug in mid show. So the whole getting past and ex talk does not apply here. It would be totally for the fans, it would be a bit of nostalgia, as the show is targeted to be, thats why he is doing mostly his greatest hits. I think it would actually show Prince in a more positive light to have Mayte perform at a show or two with him, and let all those who think they know him, be proved wrong.

If she's not into your plans for her, why can't you respect that? I'm sure she can make up her own mind and is in control of her life, and while I can imagine she would appreciate your concern for her - I can also imagine that she might not like being coerced to take action for something she does not really want to do.

And who cares what the fans think, why does she (or you) need to prove anything to the fans? The Vegas shows where he hugged her was enough to prove this point if it needed to be proved, why keep trying to prove anything to anyone? Anyway, the fans will still say what they want to say. Since you know her enough to know that she's classy, maybe running after her ex or having her friend post it on a forum making her seem desperate isn't something she wants to do for that very reason (I wouldn't want my friends to make me look desperate).

question .. i like mayte but think about all the women prince was w/ while he was w/ mayte .. how do we know she was the one he wrote those songs for? just like the most beautiful girl... song was said to be about mayte ..but vanessa marcil said prince wrote it for her in honor of her being voted the most beautiful in a mag once and recently in an interview prince was ask if he wrote it for her (vanessa) and he replied there were many girls but she was just one plus tyka prince sister said prince wrote that song about his mother .. then i think about nona gaye who he was going to marry ( she said in an interview) @ the time he was w/ mayte so there ya go i kno he loved mayte but there were several women in his life at once that inspired him & to be honest music i think personally his best most heart felt love songs like "adore" , "the beautiful ones", etc.. were in the 80's that he wrote for sussanah melvoin ..well from what we know

Exactly, it was so unnecessary to bash Misty's dancing to counterpoint praise of Mayte's dancing; Mayte is going to "show her how it's done" Really?!? A soloist with American Ballet Theater, one of the premiere ballet companies in the world? Ok...

They are both talented in their own right, no reason to pull one down to praise the other.

It would be interesting to say the least if that happened but, wouldn't P have to pay her for performing and continue with the alimony payments ... I'm just sayin' ... LoL
