Does Prince do his own make up or does he have a make-up artist? I remember in the ONA tourbook/CD notes there's a picture of him sitting in front of a makeup mirror and it seems like he's putting it on himself? Anyone know if he's ever had a make-up artist on the payroll?

Hey, I once was in the NPGMC chat a young lady was saying she had done his makeup at one time. However I figure all these years he knows how to apply it himself, and has other to do it as well.

I'm sure he can do his own makeup, just like he can do his own hair.

I doubt he does either very often though, especially when it comes to concerts and other public appearances.

I'd imagine he has a makeup artist and hairdresser on the payroll.

Sometimes he might even pay them.

This is a very good and relevant thread. It's timely as well.

This is how Prince's makeup experience has evolved over the years:

1) Before his 30's, he did his own makeup

2) Between 30-50, he had makeup artists do his makeup

3) Now, scientists and physicists do his makeup

It has gotten progressively more expensive over the years, and

is largely a factor in why he's been paying his other bills late.

A lot of artists do their own make up for shows, and judging by the shaky line of last night's liner - Prince might've done that himself.

The line was shaky, whoever did it didn't have a steady hand. But it wasn't messy, so no Any Winehouse there.

Nah, he just looks up to the sky for chemtrails and the little particles falling from them usually do the job.

I really truly H8 his liner. Take the stuff off and just use mascara to open up the eyes.

is it me or do his brows look lighter lately? they used to be black as can be, now they're like light brown almost...or am I going crazy?

No, I think they're getting lighter too. Part of that happens with age, but I doubt he fills them in (whereas I think he used to). But he also isn't wearing the darker eye makeup as much as he used to, and that heavy black liner he had for PR and UTCM eras hasn't been as prominent. Brown is cute and more natural, but I prefer the dark black--it makes more of a statement.

I agree. If he's going to continue to dye his hair jet black, he should not neglect his eyebrows.

I agree, his eyebrows are a lot lighter now. I loved his makeup on the Lopez show, it was just enough. His skin looked so flawless!

I haven't noticed any of the things mentioned about his makeup. What am I looking at? Maybe, I should look at his eyes instead of into them!
