I just recently got into this song. Personally, I would've picked it to be on 1999, perhaps in place of "Something In The Water".

Gotta love the live versions biggrin

Even though the 1st version is a bit more intersting lol, the 2nd version is the total opposite vocally. Scream vs Serene

Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

FON-KAY!!! LOVE it. in my top 10 songs ever by him and top 3 besides. only heard/have the "official" b-side so I can't compare. I'm afraid the others can't improve upon what was released.

^Yes, they do.

I first listened to the Syracuse live version (in a medley with Possesed) and when I listened to the released b-side I was very disappointed.

After the live version, give me the old outtake; especially if sequenced with Feel U Up.

Irresistible Bitch was the b-side to Let's Pretend We're Married, IIRC.

Hell yeah I was trippin to this song, actually both!! music

I remember flippin' the 12 inch vinyl to discover this funky track.. wow.

It was in the fall of 1983/ beginning of 1984, again IIRC.

music

(those were the very funky days.........!)

Classic B-side cut with a funky bassline. Oh and Prince on the drum? Funky! I like the 1981 (prototype) version.

Gotta love this track, especially the early version. So funky!!! Too bad it got never released that way, I would like to have a better quality version of it.

I must say the released version of Irrisistable Bitch is also good to very good. But I would have preferred the original version, I think...

RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I love the 84/85 live arrangement best.

Then the released.

Then the unreleased.

But I love all three.... biggrin

This might be a "controversial opinion", but I think the 1981 demo version to be the worst one. Still worthy of star star star star star
