He was quite charming on the show.
Aside from sounding like an idiot when he had to explain anything about "covers".
Live-wise, "Beautiful Ones" was cute. Those fat synths need a rest, and his vocals are, well, he's 53.
Pretty ironic that he'll bitch about covers and then play one on live television.

Enjoyed all of it. The performances - He and the npg blew it off.....no surprise. I just appteciate the musicianship so much! He is apart of the golden age and its such a blessing to be apart of and still witness in his shows. The knit picking i just dont get. As far as Shelby goes.....he is apart of a band is he not? watching her performance reminded me of why shes apart of it all. Such a positive source! However the interview is what i enjoyed the most for myself. Lopez is a crack up!  | |

I attended the show Fri 4/22 and was HIGHLY disappointed. Prince only played for about an hour and a half. Mint Condition opened for him & they played for about the same time. I'm a big Prince lover and have seen about 6 shows - this was the shortest and most disappointing. I haven't read all the posts, but did anyone else feel the same?
After it was over (he gave 2 small encores) people seemed to be in disbelief that it was over & people weren't leaving. After 30-40 minutes security started telling people to leave. Very sad. I was so glad I only paid for the $25 seats. If I paid more I would have been PISSED!
His duet with Alicia Keys was awesome, though. | |
