Nice to know that he feels people who are wealthy in Hollywood deserve 85% of tickets to be affordable. Guess that the people in the south in the Carolinas who are really doing bad deserved to have at least 60% of the tickets be non-affordable. Of course, we still paid, including me.
Did you ever think that maybe the venues' pricings may be different? This doesn't mean that all the L.A. shows will have the same structure either.

I live minutes away from the forum, and I have no desire to go. I'm still regretting the 3 night fiasco at the Nokia/L.A live a couple of years ago, and paid A LOT more money, in fact I felt he just took my money. I love Prince and I've been fortunate to have seen him in concert for every tour, starting with Dirty Mind up to last year. I not feeling the love fest and sing along with Prince. Especially the cover songs! If I hear him perform "play that funky music," I'm going to lose it! [Edited 4/11/11 18:28pm]
So.....why are you feeling it necessary to say anything? An alleged Prince fan that has a negative reaction to Prince concerts for $25 minutes away from his/her home probably should find misery elsewhere. Btw, I attended the FUNDRAISERS at the Nokia a couple years ago, too. I had a great time. |

i bet u do go.. ok it's likely to be the 'same old' but still a fun party for $25.
That's a good way of looking at it. I was about to agree with Bulldog after my last experience (lame overpriced CitiBank show in SF) but $25 is like cover-charge and a drink somewhere, and I get to reunite with L.A. freaks, and I get to party with org friends, oh and, Prince will be there.
I'm in! |

At that price it does seem possible. LA is a big city and it's quite accessible from a lot of other populous regions. LA is also touristly just like London. So I expect that a lot of tourists will buy the $25 seats to hear him drag out the old hits, hotels will buy blocks of tickets for guests, and entire business conferences and trade shows will do nights out. |

WOW!!!! Now why couldn't I live in LA right now? Haha, 25 Dollars seriously???? If the prices are in this range, I would hope for a sell out on most if not all dates at the forum! Prince is the MAN! Only he can announce a 21 Nite Stand, & get everyone in a frenzy! Lol. He continues on within the gift of "Shock Value"! On top of this he's going to perform of George Lopez (His brother from another mother! Lol) ! I can't wait to see that, I know he is going to rock the roof off that place as he promised to do! Personally, I believe it's becoming more visible to the masses that the man can put down a show like no other! I'm ready to party! Me & my girl must take a road trip to LA! She is starting to value him more than she did before & I'm going to surprise her with tickets & all! This couldn't have come at a better time! Thank Q 4 the News! You bet something isn't right. Brokers do not have the tickets...YET. They will though. Those listings are pure speculation on what they will get from the onsale Tuesday. And trust me, they'll get the tickets. The very sad truth is they cheat the system. Don't you wonder how the ticket brokers get all the best seats? Well, for one, they network with each other. The other part is the 500 pound elephant in the room nobody wants to talk about: BOTS. Software is readily available for those that can afford it. What a BOT does is brings up mass quantities of ticket inventory at the same time, and much faster than human hands possibly can. This software even bucks the "Captcha" lettering and number security measure. Don't believe that? Just look up "Captcha King" and you'll see that this crap exists. I love how they say it's for Craigslist. Please!
We true fans are up against criminals, and the problem is too large for TicketBastard/LiveCastration to control. The ONLY big case I can find is the one that was tossed at "WiseGuys" a few years ago (search wiseguys ticketmaster). One big example made of somebody is not enough.
Until either laws are passed to stop this, or people stop buying from the big brokers, they will continue to break us (if we let them).

I confess to doubting if Prince could pull this off in the UK, London.
I have funny feelings now, but please...4give me Prince. I wish I
could be in that part of the world, and would've definitely seen more
than 1 show.

Am I the only one on the East Coast who is *sad* that LA is so far, far, FAR away? Well, to add insult to injury, my job is internet-based so I could always just find a way to L.A. and go to every single show but have no way of getting there, UGH! Well, have fun all you West Coast purple hippies, I am so jealous!!!!!
Any chance of there being 21 nights in NYC anytime soon? Trolls be gone! |

I feel your pain, SeventeenDayze: Boston here. Crying... [and me too, btw, I'm tied to the Net:)]
Funny how LA feels much more distant from Boston, even though it's in the same country, than London from Moscow. I flew twice from Russia to London for the 21 Nights back then. But now, just the thought of crossing the country/US feels simply exhausting. It must be the size of the US compared to Europe that's having this psychological effect.
Anyway, I hope you get to see him soon somewhere!

So fuckin true. Don't be surprised when people log in and the tickets are already sold out for at least the first show. This is what happened on TicketBastard when people tried to buy tickets for the Adele show. Of course, I hope I'm wrong. |
