JOy In Repetition I love this song so much....the guitar solo at the end is mixed in the back, so it's not as noticable at first..but, it's another epic guitar solo....beautiful!!! | |

It's probably one of my top 10 favorite songs of all-time. It's perfect, the guitar (not just the solo but the jazzy fills throughout), the lyrics, the emotion conveyed in the vocals (I love the harmony in the background vocals too), the atmospherics, the tension the music creates before it erupts at the end...perfect!

I first heard this son on an outtakes album (yes, album) called Chocolate Box before it was later released. This is THE song that made me a true Prince fanatic. Yeah, I never understood why the intro was taken off... the song loses a lot without the buildup at the start. I always found it jarring to just be dumped halfway into this song. I love this song. Wish the beginning of it was available somewhere in good quality, my splices always have this very audible edit point. Paisley Park is in your heart - Love Is Here! |
