I agree, the songwriting when Paul and John were together was amazing.

I wish we could see what the world of music would be like, if the beatles didn't exist or if Prince didn't come along. Prince influenced so much of the music world , I wish more

people could understand this.

I hate to say this, but one day Prince will die and I expect the world will suddenly discover what an amazing musician and songwriter he is/was and how great an influence he has had. Just look what happened when Michael Jackson died and imagine something ten times that. The same thing will happen to Paul McCartney too, I think. Right now everyone says John was the heart and soul of the Beatles but they will realize one day that Paul contributed as much if not more. To quote Lennon, you don't know what you got until you lose it.

I love The Beatles and for all I think Paul McCartney is a bit of a divvy I prefer his stuff outwith The Beatles to John Lennons.

I think this is a fitting quote from Mr Lennon "I don't mind people putting us down, because if everybody really liked us, it would be a bore. You've got to have people putting you down. It doesn't give any edge to it if everybody just falls flat on their face saying, "You're great." We enjoy some of the criticisms as well, they're quite funny; some of the clever criticisms, not the ones that don't know anything, but some of the clever ones are quite fun"

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

George was photographed once wearing a shirt that said "Stamp Out the Beatles" or something to that effect.

Anyway, it doesn't really bug me when people diss the Beatles, although I'm happy to defend them. There are enough Beatle fans out there that we are virtually assured to get a steady stream of reissues, re-remasters, new stuff from the vaults, until the end of time or until there is literally nothing left to sell us. When non-fans criticize Prince, it bugs me, because if he had more admirers we might get more stuff from the vault and decent sounding remasters (because someone would pay Prince enough to make him want to release it). Of course, there are plenty of reasons for fans to criticize Prince; I just don't like hearing "I'm not into his music because he seems creepy to me."

The Census Bureau estimates that there are 2,518 American Indians and Alaska Natives currently living in the city of Long Beach.
