I would add little red corvette, if i was your girlfriend and uptown to your list. to me they are all outstanding songs.

Plus sign of the times, i could never take the place of your man, i wanna be your lover, Kiss, Endorphinmachine, Adore. I think all of these songs are truly great

I could name more but i probably go with your list and the above.

I'd like to add that music is subjective. Personally i think Prince has written atleast 40 or so songs that i think are truly special and another 70-80 that i think are "very good". Then again i am a big fan. I can understand someone not liking as many of his songs as i do , so i guess music is subjecive.

I could name a lot of great Prince songs.

But. It's easier to say:

"How many truly great albums has Prince written?"

I believe almost every song from For You > The Gold Experience are great.

Except these:

Ronnie Talk To Russia,

Horny Toad,

Trust,

Lemon Crush,

The songs by related artists on Graffiti Bridge,

Still Would Stand All Time,

Graffiti Bridge,

Jughead,

Blue Light,

Sweet Baby,

Pope,

Ripopgoddazippa,

Orgasm,

We March

(maybe a few more)

But to me these albums 1978 to 1995 are truly great ---- with b-sides, extended versions etc

great example of why the "subjectivity" issue already stated is so true. these two are great IMO for very different reasons.
