New Book on Prince I just got a copy of Chaos, Disorder, and Revolution PRINCE by Jason Draper. I haven't started yet because I'm reading something else right now, but as soon as I read it, I'll give a brief report. Anyone else have the book? | |

Never heard of it, although I searched for it in amazon and guess what the hell did I find as a double billing?

I didn't know it was released, I thought the project was shelved. I'm def purchasing this.

I approve of author's taste in music. He also wrote books on Led Zepplin and The Rolling Stones.

Jason Draper, he wrote Prince: Life and Times, the only book ive actually liked about Prince, the pictures and timeline were a real nice add, and i liked the cover, and book size, its displayed in my living room (not that it was the most amazing book written about prince, just seemed the most fair, on bothsides ya kno)
So i will defintley go look this up, and get ready for a copy of this book, thanks for the information, i'll let u kno, when i recieve a copy

Not a huge fan of the 1st Jason Draper book (Prince: Life and Times) which was basically a rewrite of The Vault, DMSR and DAYS OF WILD. It had some great photos in it and I love that he decided to make it a coffee table book but there wasn't much new research and I wonder how many interviews, etc. that he actually conducted for it. In fact, in the back of his book, he thanks Per Nilsen (who had a major hand in every one of those books) because 'without THE VAULT this book wouldn't be half of what it is' or something like that. It looks beautiful and I can't say enough great things about the look of it, but if you've read any of the other books I've listed, you'll find yourself feeling like you've gotten leftovers when it comes to the writing.
