I seriously wish Prince would put out some DVD's. I would buy most anything....old and new concert footage, music videos, home videos, etc.... I would buy a video of him sleeping. LOL Since he police's the online videos people upload why not make it available to buy?

I agree totally, even DVD releases of the concerts that were released on VHS would be a welcome addition, would be money in the bank for Prince

eye go 2 hmv everyday looking 4 any new prince stuff,the prince section is a poor sight 3 cds if ur lucky and only purple rain and rave on dvd.anything new eye would buy,if prince put out a dvd box set of tour stuff from way back in 79 up 2 now i dont care how much it was eye would buy it.eye envy all the orgers who have tons boots, cds and dvds this problem doesnt realy worry them that much,eye just want 2 go 2 a store and find wall 2 wall prince,but it isnt gonna happen!!!!!!!!!!!!

he has'nt done any for a while. u would thought, he would of the 21 nights at the o2. i would love a copy of the 1st september there, as that was the night I was there.

In a fit of elementary-school nostalgia, I recently bought this KISS dvd set.

It is such a great set, and I kept thinking, 'man, if only Prince would do something like this!'. There's a complete show from each tour, plus all the television appearances. And it's just the first of three volumes! It's so good, I barely noticed it wasn't blu-ray.

C'mon, Prince... get on with it!

Of course i will, i wasn't saying that one shouldn't, just that i'd rather have P release all that by himself.

We all know he's a perfectionist - I get the impression he doesn't release certain stuff, and heavily edits what he does release, because he's not entirely happy with a performance or how it sounds, or such like.

And then there's so much pressure and hype attached to the rare official releases that they often aren't received very well.

Guess it's just the way of things - I severely doubt I'll ever see or hear most of the stuff people on here are crying out for. I'd be very surprised if most of the vault stuff still exists, given Prince's change of views on his own work over the years.

Yeah exactly. I know you can find bootleg stuff. And watch videos people post from concerts (for a little while anyway before the Purple Police yank them) ....But I want excellent quality, steady shots, great audio, and to not feel like a bad Prince fan because I'm shamefully watching them illegally. I mean I don't feel THAT bad because there are no other options. I can't buy it somewhere. I gotta have my Prince fix....and if that means I have to watch it illegally... well what else is one to do? I mean it is like a drug dealer giving you the good S**T and getting you hooked then refusing to sell you more. That's just wrong.

LOL hmmmmm..... I sure wish I knew more about that.

In every store, the Prince selection is poor. They only carry the "Purple Rain" album or nothing at all. I want stores to carry all of his albums plus DVDs and such. I've been using Amazon to get things such as the "Under The Cherry Moon" DVD or albums. It would be more convenient if I could go to the local store and pick these things up.

He put in all that effort (arguably) to produce these CDs, then takes them out of the store a few months later for no apparent reason, and loses out of some money along the way.
