They did So Far, So Pleased on Rave and he produced/duetted with Gwen on No Doubt's album RockSteady for the song Waiting Room. Both have really fun harmonies with Gwen going low and Prince going high, idk both songs really turned me on back in the year 2000. Damn that was a long time ago.

Ooh also fun Prince-tied Gwen track "The Real Thing (Wendy and Lisa's Flow Jam Mix)" was the Japan bonus for her solo Love Angel Music Baby album. Its sweet.

Waiting Room was originally a different song. It was intended for the Return of Saturn album (whose content is along the same lines of unrequited love) and it was sent to Prince to work on. When he sent it back, it had been completely redone with his vocals and him performing all the instruments. Gwen then laid down the final vocal track. It was still left off the album, however. It did not get released until Rock Steady because of primarily fan demand, but the band felt it didn't fit in with the rest of the RoS stuff. Which it didn't, anymore. It fit much better with the more electronic Rock Steady album.

So Far So Pleased was supposed to be a single with a video, but the release was blocked by Interscope. Return of Saturn (the album he was supposed to have appeared on while she appeared on Rave) was released in 1998 and they did not want Prince interfering with the ongoing promo of the album.

Not trying to steal this thread in any way, but I was wondering if you knew what happened with Tevin Campbell's I'm Ready CD. In an interview in the mid 90's I read Tevin saying he wanted Prince to produce the whole album, but P got "greedy" with the song producing, so Tevin got other producers to do other songs. I personally love the album the way it came out, but would love to have seen what Prince planned with the whole album, instead of 4 tracks. Thanks for any info...

Not sure about Tevin's stuff. Which is kind of a godsend because some of the stuff he did for Tevin was terrible. "The P", etc.
