I think you need to remember that every Prince album
up to Graffiti Bridge was concieved and sequenced
as a vinyl LP, with 2 distinct 'sides'.

So for example... the beautiful ones, computer blue,
darling nikki & When Doves Cry, aren't really a
'sequence' as Prince intended, because When Doves Cry
is the first track from side 2.

If CD's were around when Prince started recording he
would have almost certainly changed the sequencing
of some of his albums to reflect the CD's 'one
continous sequence' as opposed to vinyl's two mini
sequences.
