I can think of the sound he makes before he sings - ''I'm willing to be'' in Scandalous he does that sound a few times during that song, it's great !! and hard to accomplish Sometimes I Trip On How Happy We Could Be

When we talk about scream...It's just one answer - ''Electric Intercourse live''

Ya know what's an unsung/underrated scream (stfu spinlight lol)..? The opening ylep scream of Christpoher tracy's Parade..it so light and airy, yet strong.
And I used to hate this song until few hours ago [Edited 3/30/11 16:11pm]

The opening of Around The World In A Day and The one in Let's Pretend We're Married. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Love the start of Gett Off as well.
Oh, and that fabulous laugh followed by his "Aawowa!" at the start of Superfunkycalifragisexy.

Favourite scream: Do Me Baby, followed very closely by Baby I'm a Star.
Favourite yelp: it's not a yelp, but that looped laugh he does in Dead On It ("pack the house, try to sing, there won't be no one left") knocks me out every time.

I have to go with God.
I would love to hear him sing this live before I die. Has anyone ever heard it live?

He doesn't scream as such in this, but i love the dirty falsetto, the screeches and growls in Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic. It just gets me pumped everytime. His growl that closes out his vocals to the end instrumental is just incredible. This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

He sounds like a wildcat or something. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Sometimes, if I'm feeling pissed at the world, I just put this song on repeat and let Prince do my screaming for me. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I know these aren't technically screams, but my favorite "Owwa!"s are on the Glam Slam extended version.
