Does Prince seem like a Cat person or a Dog kind of a guy? To me Prince seems like a cat sort of fellow, he acts like a humanazied cat, Lol!
Here are some common traits of domesticated cats:
1. Incessant grooming ( That's Prince with a capital "P"! 2. Purring ( He has been known to make Hannibal Lecter sounds, according to Jamie Fox) 3. Being Nocturnal ( It is been reported that Prince likes to stay up late mainly looking for young pussy! 4. Eyes ( His eyes has that sinister look like a cat like he's up to something.)

Lol, from reading an early interview of his from the start of his career, he said he had a cat and a dog mix...
But anyway, I say more of a kitty-person Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!!

I heard years ago that he had a dog named Piano, or maybe it was a cat. [Edited 3/31/11 5:43am] Check out my tribute to Prince

he and mayte owned a dog, and it was even featured in the 'backyard' of the L4OA.com website "mansion".
But owning an animal in Prince's world would probably be quite different than how you and I own a pet.
Prince probably just likes to dress them up in cute little outfits but insists that they not be around him for too long--I would imagine he distrusts anything that loves him unconditionally. Which of course is why I'm absolutely certain he hates some of you fucktards.
You're a real fucker. You act like you own this place--ParanoidAndroid <-- about as witty as this princess gets! I hope everyone pays more attention to Sags posts--sweething Jesus weeps

I don't think that anybody meant he was having dogs and cats for dinner. Although I think that was an outtake from UTCM.

You are right. Cats do have eyes. Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

I reckon hes defo a cat person. Dogs are stupid and dirty, Cats are smart and clean...enuff said lol. FUNKNROLL!

I have both..I still believe cats are not as clean as people say they are. They walk in a litter box and jump on your table..how clean is that>??? (mine is not allowed in kitchen btw)...Dogs at least keep their paws on floor which you can clean..

An image of the dog he and Mayte had is featured in the booklet to "Emancipation". I'd figure it was more of a Mayte's dog though.
I have trouble believing he took it on walks too often.

LOL I just told my mom that I Prince is a little sex kitten on stage! So I'd go with him being more of a cat person. Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

I say he'd like felines because they are closer to his own personality. He seems Catlike himself: he's independent, doesn't give a damn to people please (like a dog would) but does his own thing, slinky, quiet, nocturnal, graceful and quick on his feet, fastidious, strikes poses, likes to climb (on pianos) and possibly is a bit obsessive-compulsive (my cats are). He has those beautiful, penetrating eyes that can go right through you that can take a long time to blink. Plus cats were revered by the Egyptians and I think he was at one time (or still is) intrigued by the past Egyptian civilization. Have u had your + sign today?

prince has a cat thing going on, soitary nocturnal hunter. he's most alert at night & like a cat who will bring a dead mouse home as a gift 4 it's owner, prince will find a protege & offer it up to his fans. the reaction is usually the same
