Anyone else not seen a concert? Is there anyone else here who, like me, has not had the pleasure of seeing the man in concert yet?? Any special reasons??

Never seen him live. I was too young before. The first time I ever went to a concert was a few years ago. When he came to my city for ONA, I didn't go cuz I didn't have the money.

You are not alone. Shamefully I have never seen him live. I had the opportunity to go see him last year in KC but didn't have the money.

The sad thing about it is that if you haven't seen Prince YET, the years just keep creeping by and Prince keeps getting older and older, which means that all the acrobatic stuff he used to do with a seemingly endless amount of energy, he can't do now even if he wanted to.
And that's really too bad, because even when some of you all finally get to see Prince, you won't be seeing him at the top of his game. It's just like going to see Jordan play for the first time while he's with the Wizards. While you can say you've seen him play in person, it's with the Wizards, and you know you haven't seen him at his best. Still though, Prince is a legend, and if you're a true fan, he's always worth the money to see him perform. "You've got to believe in something... why not believe in me?"

Personally, I never liked Prince jumping around and running all over the stage at his early concerts. He is and always will be a musician first and foremost to me. How the hell can you compare seeing Prince perform to an old tired basketball player. Basketball is all about making good shots and looking good while doing it. Prince looks outstanding and he destroys every instrument he touches. If you ask me splits VS guitar playing, I will take Prince in front of a mike whaling on his guitar than him jumping around anyday of the week.

I've never seen him, cos my olds wouldnt let me. Cos no1 I knew wanted to go coulda if there was the chance. Woulda loved 2 drag some1 up 2 c the london gigs JaneyPoos used to be it... then they changed what it was. Now what I am isn't it and what is it is strange and frightening to me...

Besides, even at an older age he can put on a show, see Bowie. He doesn't jump around, but they still rock.

how sad to have never seen Prince perform live.
i was too young for the triple threat -- Prince, The Time and Vanity 6 -- so I didn't get to see him until a hit and run Parade show in 1986. after Lovesexy there was a near 10 year stretch before I was able to see him again. and now i've seen him several times in the last 4 years. The moral is: Hold on, one day ur Prince will come! http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

ive been a ..(hmm, right, cant say the f word..) ive LOVED prince for half of my life (infact!!) & ive never had the opportunity to actually see him live.. but for my nineteenth b-day, my mom surprised me with a ticket 4 the ONA tour.. holy shit.. expensive stuff.. but it was reeeally worth it, even if i had to "sit" next to a really smelly guy who sang in the wrong pitch throughout the concert.. and a bitchy chick in front of me who stood up on her seat for the first halfhour.. i couldnt get her to step down (asked her, nicely, twice) then i got a hold of a huge security dude who forced her down on the ground, & she was soo short, i ended up feeling sorry for her.. NOT!
