So....I don't know what's up but some very nice things have happened in the past two days that I think deserved to be mentioned.

1) I had to resotre my computer to it's factory settings this past week and couldn't make a recovery disc and lost ALL my personal pics and videos. I even lost the videos and pics I recorded from MSG on Jan 18....or so I thought. Yesterday, just before I go to bed, I go through the pics in my camera and realize that for the first time in EVER I did not delete the pics that I uploaded to my compter off the disk and....dun, duh, DUN!...there was Prince, laying and screaming on top the piano! I was so excited, I recoverd all those videos and photos!!

2) I'm walking back from lunch through the place I work and all of a sudden I hear the first notes of "Take Me With You" BLASTING out some store. I completely froze and was stunned as I never really hear Prince songs in public. I was happy.

3) I'm driving home and Purple Rain is playing on the radio. Now, normally I would have turned the station but, I let it play...even blasted the volume and found it to be a very long version of Purple Rain I'd never heard before. I liked the instramental at the end. Very nice, and made a very relaxing drive home.

4) I have just rediscovered one of the funkiest songs Prince has ever written. How could I have forgotten about EXTRA LOVEABLE!

Haha kool! You know what? A few weeks ago I heard Raspberry Beret at Macy's, then went to Forever 21 and they played I wanna be your lover, weird huh? In that trendy store they played Prince lol. I was the only one that knew it was him

I know what you mean. It's funny becasuse I wanted someone to share in the excitement...but, alas..I had to sing the song alone. *shrug*

Awww, little nice purple stories sound adorable, except for the computer restoration part. I know that had to be a nightmare. That's why I invested in a 900 GB harddrive (yet I still struggle for space...)

I can relate very well. lol I can imagine your shock at the songs. I hyperventilate when I hear anything Prince anywhere besides inmy own house or at a Prince concert. Sing, dance, shoot the arms up, yes, i do, hehe and proud of it. Yet within a reasonable sense if I'm alone lol

Extra-Loveable is great.

They played Raspberry Beret at F21 when I was there a few weeks ago. And when I worked at a children's shoe store, they would play Diamonds and Pearls on a loop, just because of the part in the chorus where he mentions boys and girls

Here's one I know you'll love

I was on my way to class after a smoke break, hopped in the elevator and alas! I could hear someone listening to 'Head' very loud on their earphones I looked around all excited and exclaimed "OMG, someone else listening to Prince! Finally!' As I got out of the elevator, I discussed this with my friend and thought that maybe Prince wasn't so unloved in NZ .. that all went down the drain when I got to class and pulled out my iPod where 'Head' was playing on full volume

talking of 'head' i have a sad but also funny story about a friend of mine, HUGE prince fan. she died couple of years ago, she was young, it was very sudden. after the funeral everybody piled into a hotel bar/restaurant, patrons eating their lunch..

the management kindly agreed to have prince as background music, so it was a very funky sendoff especially when 'head' came on

I was shopping at Forever 21 and they started playing "When Doves Cry". I almost dropped all of my clothes on the floor. I wanted to start singing right there but I could barely hear above the giggly pre teens running around the store.

Always nice when the universe plays along in your favour. That was good luck concerning your camera. And oh yes.....Extra Loveable has a great beat and lyrics.

I love hearing my favourite artists music in public. Went into McDonalds about a month ago and they were playing Fury. In London's Oxford St.
