Went to see the Welcome 2 America concert last night in Raleigh NC at the RBC Center.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to get floor seats behind the VIP section. We were able to get close enough to pick Prince's pocket!! My wife got onstage!!!!! I got pictures and video!! She high fived one of his background singers! They were really cool people. Chaka (who rocked by the way), Prince and the entire band walked right by us! It was crazy! Way more informal than any of his other shows. It really felt like family up in there.

When they played the intro for Purple Rain it was a lot lower in volume than when they played most of the songs, so I just sang the falsetto "whoo hoo" melody that usually comes at the end of song as loud as I could and the whole freakin' place started singing along!!! He just let us sing it for about a minute. Maybe he needed the rest!

After the first encore we were on our way out and decided to hang around a little while and chill out and take pictures to avoid the parking lot crowd. It seemed like more than half of the arena had left! We were just about up the stairs and gone when he and the band came back out again!! It was great for some of the folks who didn't have close seats to be able to party with the whole band like they had VIP seats! It was so cool of Prince to do that. Whatever you do...If you go to any of these shows do NOT leave early!!!

People make a big deal about my brother being short in stature but he is a musical giant!!

It was absolutely the best Prince concert experience I ever had!!!

We were in the VIP section right next to the stairs, both myself and wife were also on stage!! Did you goto the mike to sing also? Was very C-O-O-L

And you NEVER leave a show early, the house lights were not even on yet.. He was going to do another encore after this one ( was talking to the crew next to the stage) but something happened and it was not meant to be.

It was a very good concert!!

No man...didn't go to the mic. I didn't get on stage myself. I sacrificed myself to let my wife get up there We tagged teamed the securityguards! I was able to get pictures though!

Very good show! There were a few guys up there - I got a bunch of pictures, what were you guys wearing?

Prince has such a radiant presence that when he's onstage he fills up the stage and there's just so much warmth coming from him.

Omg...what a concert!!!

The crowd went absolutely nuts when he first came on stage and just stood there for what seemed like minutes. His performance was flawless as usual and he seemed to enjoy himself very much the whole time he was up there.

And to see his naked upper body at the end of the show...priceless!!!

I almost missed his last encore because everybody thought it was over and the entire crowd was heading for the exits...just to make an abrupt u-turn when Prince came back on stage.

I am still in awe!

I have afew,86 parade tour way b4 the concert prince came 2 a fence purple silk trousers and top long coat I was 2 feet away his voice was so deep never 4get that 2 this day.then in 88 b4 a show cat miko and boni came out 4 a chat.then 93 birmingham nia I think the game boyz opened and when singing johnny passed me the mike 2 sing the o o o o o o it was best nite ever caught a symbol tambourine that nite 2.wow!life can b so nice.then in sheffield I was row a o my god thank u eileen murton.
